Erik brings nearly two decades of experience in institutional real estate, spanning private equity, joint-venture and direct investments, development, workouts, and capital markets. As Co-Founder of Montclif, he leads the firm’s sourcing and capital structuring of new investments.

Prior to co-founding Montclif, Erik served as Partner at FCP, a privately held real estate investment firm with more than $14.8 billion in gross asset value invested since 1999. Over his 14-year tenure, he led FCP's commercial investment strategies, served on the Executive, Management, and Investment Committees, and was responsible for sourcing and executing over $2 billion across 5 million square feet in 10 U.S. markets.

Earlier in his career, Erik worked at CWCapital in its special situations team, where he negotiated, modeled, and closed workouts and dispositions of distressed commercial mortgage loans and properties totaling over $3 billion across virtually every major asset-class. He began his real estate career in the Capital Markets Group at Cassidy Turley, a predecessor to Cushman & Wakefield, underwriting and marketing debt, equity and investment sales opportunities throughout the Greater Washington, D.C. and Mid-Atlantic region.

Erik graduated from the University of Maryland, where he was an Academic All-American swimmer and earned dual degrees in Finance and Accounting. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves on the Office Development National Product Council. Erik lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and their three children.
